We understand the stresses and difficulties that people encounter when they need to relocate their lives to another country and, at the same time, deal with an immigration process that often seems unwieldy and overly bureaucratic.
A brief explanation of our backgrounds explains why we have such a diversity of international experience between us:
Tania Camargo
In Brazil she qualified as a teacher and as an English / Portuguese translator and then had a successful career in the business sector in São Paulo culminating as the PA to managing partner of Arthur Andersen.
Her decision to emigrate from Brazil was motivated by the desire to have better opportunity. She found that opportunity in New Zealand.
Since arriving in New Zealand Tania’s focus has been on education. Initially she qualified as a CELTA teacher and taught English as a Second Language. She then shifted her focus to promoting New Zealand as an international education destination, which remains her focus today.
Tania brings the perspective of someone with personal experience of the immigration journey.
Steve Norrie
His financial career has been focused in New Zealand and the United States (predominantly in California, Massachusetts and New York) in a diverse range of sectors including aeronautical, food export, life sciences, medical devices and property.
He has sat on a number of Boards in New Zealand and the United States including New Zealand pip fruit exporter, ENZA Limited and US orthopaedic devices company, OMNI life science, Inc.
More recently Steve’s business consulting practice has been focused in the New Zealand SME sector helping small, fast-growing businesses to raise debt and equity capital, develop business plans and manage acquisitions and divestments.
He is also a director of the New Zealand Association for Migration and Investment, New Zealand’s longest-standing representative body for licensed immigration advisers and immigration lawyers.
